The 2008 Spring season for Colorado 5A high school varsity baseball hosted a multitude of highlights, including amazing spring trips to Utah and Arizona, and concluded with winning the 2nd consecutive 5A State Championship title.
Marco was honored to be the 2nd Colorado high school athlete in history to have pitched and won two consecutive state championship games, and he is still the only athlete in Colorado history to have done it as a Freshman in 2007.
Marco was named 2008 Front Range All-Conference 1st team outfielder and Colorado All-State Honorable Mention as pitcher AND outfielder. Marco was one of only 4 baseball athletes nominated for multiple positions.
The 2008 Summer baseball season went equally as successful as the Rocky Mountain Legion A team took the Colorado State Championship there as well!
